Dr. Alex Moore D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Alex Moore was born and raised in the Rockford area and is thrilled to return home and serve his hometown community. He attended Belvidere High School and then began his dental education by studying biology at DePaul University. While at DePaul, he worked in a molecular biology research lab studying nerve regeneration. He was able to present his findings at several international conferences as well as become a published author in the Journal of Comparative Neurology.
After graduating with honors, he received his doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. During his time at UIC he was awarded scholarships from the American Dental Association as well as the Illinois State Dental Society. He was one of two students selected to participate in the Endodontic Enhanced Specialization Track, which gave him greater experience in the field of endodontics. He was selected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, which is an honor society chosen by the faculty of the dental school that recognizes top students in each class. While at UIC, he was active in organized dentistry and was chosen to be the UIC Delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society.
He became fascinated with modern root canal therapy and elected to specialize in endodontics. He continued his education at Marquette University School of Dentistry where he earned his endodontic specialty certificate and master’s degree. His master’s thesis studied factors effecting root canal success and he presented his research at several international conferences. While at Marquette, he served as the Chief Resident and provided endodontic lectures to the dental students.
Dr. Moore is passionate about endodontics and he looks forward to providing exceptional care and a compassionate experience to each and every one of his patients.
